A Moment of Zen

I saw this lovely slide show and it gave me a much needed break from my crazy, crammed work schedule and frenzied holiday rush shopping marathon (and let’s not forget to throw in the house decorating and tree adornment). I was stunned by the beauty of the shapes Michael Grab created. The mechanics of it are astounding. After watching a video of him working on one of his sculptures, I still don’t understand how he manages it. What makes this art, though, as opposed to just a neat trick are the wonderful, imaginative structures and shapes he creates. I’m filled with awe, amusement, and serenity looking at his work. Like taking a deep breath of fresh air. I’d like to add the slide show to my blog but since I saw it on Huffington Post I’m not sure if there are any copyright issues.
